4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 slices of bacon
1/4 cup chopped green onions or chives (optional)
1 tablespoon BBQ sauce (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until all ingredients are well blended.
Take each chicken breast and slice a pocket into the side to create space for the cheese filling.
Stuff each chicken breast with the cheese mixture.
Wrap each st■ chicken breast with 3 slices of bacon.
Place the bacon-wrapped chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through and bacon is crispy.
If desired, brush BBQ sauce on the chicken during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
Remove from the oven and let it rest before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions or chives.
