Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup melted butter (plus more for brushing)
1/2 cup unsalted butter for sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk and melted butter together. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
In a small saucepan, melt the 1/2 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Stir in the minced garlic, chopped parsley, garlic powder, and black pepper.
Grease a cast iron skillet or a baking dish with additional butter. Pour half of the garlic butter mixture into the bottom of the skillet.
Spoon the biscuit dough into the skillet, creating small mounds.
Pour the remaining garlic butter mixture over the tops of the biscuit dough.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
Remove from the oven and brush with additional melted butter if desired.
