  1. Begin by preparing the cod fillets. Pat them dry with paper towels to ensure the coating adheres properly.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the beaten egg and olive oil together until combined.
  4. Dip each cod fillet into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture. Press the breadcrumbs onto the fish to ensure a firm coating.
