This Delicious Chicken Riesling Recipe combines juicy chicken with a luscious, creamy sauce that offers a delightful twist on traditional cooking. While Riesling wine is known for its sweet and fruity profile, this recipe provides a non-alcoholic alternative that retains all the flavors you love without the alcohol.
1 tablespoon fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Begin by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides. Allow the chicken to sit for a few minutes to absorb the seasoning.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Pour in the non-alcoholic white grape juice, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Allow this to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Add the chicken broth and let it simmer for another 3-4 minutes.
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and thyme. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over it. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
